On Wednesday November 6 our grade 8 students will be attending Nottawasaga Pines SS to get a first hand look at what secondary school is all about. We will be walking directly after announcements in the morning and not returning until 2:30. Students will have a chance to visit 7 different classes, meet some of the teachers and learn about what life at high school is all about. They will have the opportunity to either purchase their lunch from the cafeteria or bring a bag lunch. If you have any further questions about this day please contact me in advance.

I hope that everyone had an enjoyable summer break. Welcome to the new families to our school and welcome back to the families from last year. As of right now, I have a grade 8 class with 26 students and do not foresee any major changes to our class.
During the week you will hopefully have noticed some small assignments that students are working on. We have got into the swing of things for a couple subjects and the rest will get started in the upcoming weeks. The first writing assignment for the students was a report about themselves which was due the second week of school. Phys ed has started and students are required to have a clean pair of indoor shoes as well as a full change of clothes for every class.
Students have been given a suggested list of items that they will need to get through the year.
If parents are willing to volunteer for the school (field trips, driving for teams, etc.) they will need and up to date Police record check completed before they will be allowed to assist our students.
I am asking that parents please sign the agenda at least once a week so they have an idea of what is going on at school.
Thank you in advance for your involvement this year,
Mr. E. Black
